About Us

The Michigan Behavior Analysis Provider (MiBAP) Association was founded in the Spring of 2019 as a 510(c)(6) non-profit membership organization. MiBAP’s mission is to promote access to the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) through advocacy, education, and quality practices. We achieve this mission by actively:

Promoting access to ABA services by supporting a robust and high-quality provider network throughout the State of Michigan

Advocating for the use of ABA services in environments where behavioral interventions can improve an individual or organization’s well-being and/or performance, to include the treatment of autism, traumatic brain injury, and intellectual and developmental disabilities

Educating the public, including parents, stakeholders, medical professionals, school staff, and State and local legislators on the science of ABA and the benefits and cost savings achievable through effective interventions

Promoting quality practices in the delivery of ABA services, to include the establishment of specific quality standards and evidence-based measures of success

ACE Provider Information

MIBAP is an authorized Continuing Education Provider

The Authorized Continuing Education (ACE) program exists to make a wide array of continuing education (CE) events available to Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) certificants. ACE Providers have been authorized by the BACB to provide Learning Continuing Education (CE) to BCBA and BCaBA certificants.

Event Feedback

ACE Coordinators must provide all participants the opportunity to submit written evaluative feedback about the event. This opportunity must be provided withiin 2 weeks (14 days) of the event. ACE Coordinators should review the feedback, share it with ACE Instructors within 45 days, and take any necessary action – such as discontinuing events that receive consistently negative feedback or requiring modifications to events that receive corrective feedback.

Complaint Process

Participants in ACE events must be provided with information about the complaint process by the ACE Provider, including how to contact the ACE Coordinator regarding concerns and that participants may file a Notice of Alleged Violation against the ACE Coordinator if the original complaint is not sufficiently resolved.

All complaints from attendees of ACE events, including those regarding potential violations of ACE events requirements, must first be submitted in writing to the ACE Coordinator. If the complaint cannot be resolved with the coordinator, the participant may then submit an NAV against the ACE Coordinator.
